Nonlinear Pushover Analysis of Concrete Infilled Frames
Six reinforced concrete frames with or without masonry infi lls were constructed and tested under horizontal cyclic loads. All six frames had identical details in which the transverse reinforcement in columns was provided by rectangular hoops that did ...

Organizing across cognitive asymmetry in human–AI collaboration: A study of perfume creation
Abstract Research Summary As organizations increasingly adopt generative AI (GenAI), they face a strategic challenge: not only deciding which tasks AI should perform, but also how to organize the integration of human and AI efforts to produce viable solutions.

This study investigates the potential for reducing emissions during the sintering process by selectively adjusting the O2, CO, and H2O content in the recirculation gas. Adjusting these components positively affects the sintering process, enabling the coke breeze content in the sinter mixture to be reduced.

STATISTICAL VALIDATION OF NONLINEAR PUSHOVER METHODS BY INCREMENTAL DYNAMIC ANALYSES
The present study aims to validate pushover methodology for RC frame structures by comparison with Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA). A high number of simulated response spectrum compatible time-histories has been used to perform incremental dynamic ...

Abstract The previous seismic events indicated the vulnerability of old reinforced concrete (RC) structures against earthquakes due to the absence of seismic detailing and capacity design specifications in such buildings. In this context, beam‐column joints (BCJ) of the existing RC structures built before the 1970s have exhibited poor structural ...

Abstract Post‐earthquake fires pose a significant threat to urban environments, with potentially catastrophic consequences for buildings and infrastructure. To enhance understanding and mitigate these risks, this study conducts a comparative analysis of post‐earthquake fire (PEF) in two‐dimensional (2D) and three‐dimensional (3D) reinforced concrete ...

Three poly(caprolactone) (PCL)‐based additives of differing molecular weights were used as a secondary plasticizer to prevent gas checks in PVC films produced through calendering. Results showed that chemical and physicochemical properties influence the prevention or reduction of gas checks, unlike rheological properties including complex viscosity and

Abstract Ecotourism can contribute to the conservation of environmental values, as well as to the development of positive synergies between agents in the tourism sector, tourists and the local population. The growing interest in tourism offers with low environmental impact, which support the local economy, translates into a competitive advantage for ...

Nonlinear static "pushover" analysis of multi-storey reinforced concrete building
Contemporary structural design implies the nonlinear behaviour of ductile structural elements for the design of seismic actions, which implies the application of nonlinear analysis. Pushover analysis evaluates the seismic performance of the structure and
