Abstract Premise Root hemiparasites form haustoria in belowground roots of hosts to extract nutrients and water from the surrounding hosts. Through parasitic symbiosis, these plants disproportionately affect plant communities relative to their abundance by reducing host size, altering nutrient flow, and eventually increasing local biodiversity.

Comparative Review of the Performance Based Design of Building Structures Using Static Non-Linear Analysis, Part A: Steel Braced Frames [PDF]
The objective of this review to be submitted in two independent parts, for steel frames and for RC frames, is to compare their structural performance with respect to the proposed N2-method, and so also of the consequent convenience of using pushover ...

Nonlinear Static Analysis for Seismic Evaluation of Existing RC Hospital Building
Nonlinear Static Analysis otherwise known as pushover analysis will be used in this study to evaluate the seismic performance of an existing reinforced concrete (RC) hospital structure. This method aids in determining the structure’s ability to withstand

Heat Stress in Quail: Impacts on Health and Productivity, and Mitigation Strategies
Heat stress disrupts physiological homeostasis in quail, inducing oxidative stress, immune dysregulation, and metabolic imbalance, which impair growth, reproduction, product quality, and welfare. Integrating nutritional, environmental, and genetic–epigenetic strategies enhances thermotolerance, sustains productivity, and supports climate‐smart quail ...

Seismic vulnerability of RC buildings in Polog valley [PDF]
A procedure for evaluation of seismic vulnerability of RC buildings has been proposed. Applying the nonlinear static “pushover” analysis, the parameters of nonlinear behavior of the selected set of reinforced concrete buildings have been defined.

Target acceleration in multimodal pushover method for R/C frames
The procedure of searching the target ground acceleration as a measure of the lowest seismic resistance is presented in the paper. This objective is achieved by the multimodal pushover analysis based on the envelope principle. The pushover method founded
