Optimization of PV Panels Spacing

The optimal tilt angle of a photovoltaic array is when the array produces maximum electricity. The optimal tilt angle for Jerusalem is 25°. This is optimal from an energy perspective. Considering electricity peak demand tariffs, the economic optimum tilt angle is also 25°.

PV generator cannot always operate on its maximum power point. This can be due to large DC-to-AC power ratio, overirradiance events or grid-code compliance. The PV generator power is usually limited by increasing the operating voltage, which decreases the current.
