Single‐Crystalline Lateral p‐SnS/n‐SnSe van der Waals Heterostructures by Vapor Transport Growth with In Situ Bi Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In‐situ doping during growth of SnSe and subsequent attachment of SnS produces high‐quality lateral pn‐heterojunctions between van der Waals semiconductors. Electron beam induced current measurements demonstrate electrically active pn‐junctions, paving the way for devices that harness charge separation at lateral interfaces in layered heterostructures.

Analysis of a photovoltaic/thermal solar collector for building integration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The idea of combining photovoltaic and solar thermal collectors (PVT collectors) to provide electrical and heat energy is not new, however it is an area that has received only limited attention.

Integrated Lead/Iodine Management for Sustainable Perovskite Solar Modules

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Perovskite solar modules face environmental risks from lead and iodine leakage. A dual‐function adsorbent—porphyrin‐modified whitlockite nanocomposites—effectively captures iodine and Pb2+, even under severe damage. Combined with a semi‐closed recycling process, it recovers 96.9% high‐purity PbI2 and reduces residual Pb2+ to <10 ppb, offering an ...

Experimental investigation of evaporative cooling for enhancing photovoltaic panels efficiency

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
This paper presents the results of an experimental study on the effect of cooling of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels by evaporative cooling. The evaporation latent heat was utilized to absorb the generated heat from the body of a PV module to reduce its ...

CHB‐Induced Immune Zonation Chaos Elicited LXRα‐mediated Lipid Metabolism Disorders in Kupffer Cells to Induce Cancer Stem Cell Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By profiling the spatiotemporal hepatic landscape of CHB mouse models, the originally peri‐portal localized KCs migrated to the peri‐central in a CXCL9‐CXCR3‐dependent manner, facilitating their interaction with HBV+ hepatocytes. The interaction promoted LMD in KCs through ASGR1‐induced LXRα degradation, which, in turn, induced CSC formation via Stat3 ...

Thermal Analysis of Photovoltaic Panel Cooled by Electrospray Using Different Fluids

open access: yesDüzce Üniversitesi Bilim ve Teknoloji Dergisi
In this study, the cooling performance of the photovoltaic (PV) panel was examined by the electrospray cooling method. The experiments were carried out under 1000 W/m² irradiation, 25 G nozzle diameter and 70 mm nozzle-to-PV panel distance and 20 kV ...

Phase Change Material for the Cooling of Solar Panels—An Experimental Study

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings, 2023
Solar panel efficiency decreases with an increase in the panel surface temperature. This study utilized the Phase Change Material (PCM) based cooling approach along with Aluminum fins to reduce the temperature of the PV panel.

AGN feedback with the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) and implications for cluster physics and cosmology

open access: yes, 2017
AGN feedback is regarded as an important non-gravitational process in galaxy clusters, providing useful constraints on large-scale structure formation. It modifies the structure and energetics of the intra-cluster medium (ICM) and hence its understanding
