Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. The PV System Doctor – Comprehensive diagnosis of PV system installations

open access: yesEnergy Procedia, 2017
Abstract Due to an increased adoption of photovoltaic (PV) systems globally, degradation and failure of PV installations in the field that lead to under-performing systems and eventually to lower financial returns have begun to attract more attention.

Considerations regarding PV systems

open access: yesAnnals of the ”Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati Fascicle II Mathematics Physics Theoretical Mechanics, 2022
The integration of renewable power supplies in urban areas and their integration in everyday life is the new trend for the latest research. By using renewable power supplies combined with the latest improvements regarding energy efficiency can help reduce energy consumption, greenhouse gas effect and toxic emissions.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.
