PV Polaris – Automated PV System Orientation Prediction

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
The orientation of a photovoltaic system is an important parameter for power generation and yield predictions. Yet often, the real orientation is unknown. Measuring the orientation manually is time-consuming. This study introduces an automated Monte Carlo Search based algorithm called PV Polaris which is capable of predicting the systems orientation ...

Enhancing Triplet Excitons Lifetime Through Controlled Intermolecular Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Singlet fission (SF) is investigated in pentacene embedded in a surface‐anchored metal–organic framework, enabling a molecular arrangement inaccessible in pure organic crystals. This architecture changes the singlet fission dynamics significantly and enhances the triplet lifetime by almost four orders of magnitude.

Engineering of Double Absorber Organic‐Perovskite Solar Cells for >34% Efficiency with V2O5 as Back Surface Field Layer

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
This study investigates high‐efficiency double perovskite active layer (DPAL) structures using MAPbI3 and MASnI3 to surpass the Shockley‐Queisser limit in single‐junction perovskite solar cells. SCAPS‐1D simulations show that the V2O5‐assisted DPAL device achieves 34.14% power conversion efficiency with improved JSC, VOC, and FF.

Microbial Contribution to Soiling and Its Impact on Photovoltaic Module Soiling in Arid Zones of the Atacama Desert

open access: yesAdvanced Sustainable Systems, EarlyView.
Microorganisms colonizing photovoltaic surfaces in the Atacama desert form biofilms that enhance particle adhesion and reduce energy yield. This study identifies UV‐resistant bacteria and carotenoid‐producing strains that interfere with PV performance.
