Influence of Heat Treatment Temperature on Crevice and Pitting Corrosion of UNS S32205 Duplex Stainless Steel

Heat treatments that alter the proportions of austenite and ferrite phases or induce the precipitation of phases such as sigma in duplex stainless steel UNS S32205 make it more susceptible to pitting and crevice corrosion. However, the effects of these treatments are not always evident when analyzed using the cyclic polarization technique.

Gas check prevention during calendering of poly(vinyl chloride) films using poly(caprolactone)‐based additives

Chemical Degradation of Rigid PVC Film
The chemical degradation of rigid PVC film in nitric acid solution has been studied in the range of 30 to 80℃ from intrinsic viscosity measurements. It was found that degree of polymerization of PVC decreased remarkably as a result of oxydation and that at 60℃ and above a part of degraded polymer dissolved in nitric acid solution.
