Correction of diffraction effects in confocal raman microspectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A mathematical approach developed to correct depth profiles of wet-chemically modified polymer films obtained by confocal Raman microscopy is presented which takes into account scattered contributions originated from a diffraction-limited laser focal

A Miniature Rotary Electrostatic Clutch for Assigning Multi‐Degrees of Freedom to Insect‐Scale Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Insect‐scale crawling robots can traverse confined environments; nevertheless, their functionalities are predominantly restricted to sensing because of challenges in integrating actuated degrees of freedom. Herein, a miniature rotary electrostatic clutch is presented by incorporating cutting patterns in the clutch layer.

Enhancement of optical and electrical properties of PVC/PMMA blend films doped with Li4Ti5O12 nanoparticles

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2020
Nanocomposite films of polyvinyl chloride/polymethyl methacrylate (PVC/PMMA)/ lithium titanium oxide (Li4Ti5O12) were prepared through a casting method. The structural features of the prepared films were investigated using XRD, TEM, FTIR, SEM, and UV/Vis.

THE PHENOMENON OF PVC FILM DEFORMATION, NAMELY WAVINESS OF PVC FILM CAUSED BETWEEN TWO SOFT PVC FILMS FORMED BY DIFFERENT COMPOUNDS. CHAPTER I INFLUENCE OF RAW MATERIALS

open access: yesNIPPON GOMU KYOKAISHI, 1965

Evaluating the Impact of Cellulose Nanocrystals on the Performance of Polycarbonate Thin‐Film Nanocomposite Membranes for Treating Oily Wastewater

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A new type of thin‐film nanocomposite (TFN) membrane was synthesized by incorporating cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) into a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) top layer on a polycarbonate (PC) substrate via dip‐coating. The synthesized TFC and TFN membranes (PC/PVA TFC and PC/PVA‐CNC TFN membranes) were evaluated using contact angle measurement, field ...
