Comparative experimental analysis of the annual energy production of a 72kWn photovoltaic solar power plant installed on a roof for self-consumption in the city of Monteria using PVsyst, PVGIS and SAM

open access: yes

open access: yes
This research aims to analyze the impact of the horizon on solar radiation in various locations in Spain and subsequently quantify the percentage of radiation loss due to the horizon. To achieve this, hourly radiation data has been collected from PVGIS, both considering and not considering the horizon.

open access: yes
This master's thesis focuses on the detailed study of the solar radiation received on the island of Tenerife, collecting data from the terrestrial weather stations of the AgroCabildo network, over a period of 10 years. Thus, it compares them with the satellite data provided by the PVGIS system for the same time period and the exact geographic locations

Comparison between MRM simulations, CAMS and PVGIS databases with measured solar radiation components at the Methoni station, Greece

Renewable Energy, 2020
Abstract This study examines the performance of the estimated solar radiation components obtained via the Meteorological Radiation Model, satellite-based data sets (CAMS, PVGIS-CMSAF-SARAH) and reanalysis (PVGIS-ERA5) against ground measurements taken with the Sunshine-Pyranometer at Methoni station, Greece. MRM shows satisfactory simulations for the
