Ni–Pd Catalytic Synergy on Rod‐Shaped CeO2 for Boosting Low‐Temperature CH4 Oxidation

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Introducing Ni into Pd/CeO2 markedly accelerates deep CH4 oxidation by inducing a synergistic interaction between Ni and Pd species. This synergistic effect significantly improves low‐temperature activity and long‐term stability, providing a rational strategy for efficient CH4 abatement over Pd‐based catalysts under lean CH4 conditions while reducing ...

Unprecedented Wall‐Atomically Thick Bi5O7Br Nanotubes Embedding Abundant Bi Nanodots Boosting Efficiently Photothermal Coupling Catalytic CO2 Conversion

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Atomically thin Bi5O7Br nanotubes embedded with abundant Bi nanodots were constructed as an efficient photothermal catalyst for CO2 conversion. The localized surface plasmon resonance and photothermal effect of Bi nanodots synergistically enhance light harvesting, charge utilization, and reaction kinetics, resulting in significantly improved CO2 to CO ...

Efficient Thermo‐Photocatalytic Methanation of Dilute CO2 via N‐Doped Carbon Encapsulated Co/CoO Nanoparticles

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
A nitrogen‐doped carbon coated Co nanoparticles with CoO particles catalyst achieved 91.6% conversion efficiency of ultra‐dilute CO2 (∼400 ppm) with nearly 100% CH4 selectivity at 180°C under light irradiation. ABSTRACT Thermo‐photocatalytic CO2 methanation represents an attractive strategy for addressing global energy and environmental challenges ...

Harnessing Natural Wood Architecture: A Self‐Supporting, Hierarchically Porous NiFe@Carbon Capacitive Anode Enhances Electricity Generation and Storage in Microbial Fuel Cells

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study reports a mild “Zn(NO3)2 interlayer‐expansion” strategy combined with electrodeposition to produce a self‐supporting capacitive anode (NiFe@PC) that preserves the wood's native low‐tortuosity channels. The retained native architecture expands niches for microbial colonization.

Nickel‐Catalyzed LiF‐Rich Interface for Silicon Anodes

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Modulating the decomposition of F‐containing species in the electrolyte to form LiF‐rich SEI has been proven to be an effective strategy for interface optimization. Herein, through nickel‐catalyzed pyrolysis of carbon precursors on silicon, graphene‐like carbon was formed to construct three‐dimensional conductive networks.

Tuning Colloidal Stability and Photothermal Conversion Efficiency of Graphite Nanofluids via Anionic‐Nonionic Surfactant Engineering

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Graphite nanofluids were stabilized using a mixed SDS/Tween 80 surfactant system. The optimized formulation exhibited enhanced colloidal stability, red‐shifted UV–Vis absorption, and improved photothermal conversion under solar irradiation. Achieving stable dispersion of graphite flakes (GFs) in aqueous media remains a critical challenge in developing ...
