Hierarchical Flexible Ceramic Nanofiber Membrane for Simultaneous Membrane Distillation and Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A hierarchical flexible ceramic nanofiber membrane integrates a La‐stabilized ZrO2 scaffold with superhydrophobic UiO‐66‐NH2/CdS heterojunctions. The gas–liquid–solid interfacial architecture sustains vapor‐selective desalination, visible‐light charge separation, and rapid H2 extraction, enabling simultaneous freshwater production and photocatalytic ...

Fast Hydrogel Micro‐Actuators Driven by Electric Fields

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report the fabrication of chemically programmable electroactuating microstructures through the first integration of two‐photon polymerization with electrically actuated gelatin methacrylate‐based hydrogels. By tailoring the charge of the polymer network, we demonstrate programmable polarity‐dependent bending, enabling microstructures that ...

PVP-Adjusted Crystal Surfaces of PtPd Nanoparticles for Enhancing the Catalytic Hydrolysis of Ammonia Borane

open access: yes
In recent years, the morphology control of nanoparticles (NPs) has been an effective way to improve the catalytic performance of PtPd alloys. Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) can be used as a multifunctional orientation and stabilizer for monodisperse ...

Strong Coupling in Bulk Nanoplasmonic Nanoplatelet Perovskite Scintillators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A bulk scintillating nanocomposite is engineered from CsPbBr3 nanoplatelets and Ag nanocubes to support exciton–plasmon strong coupling under X‐ray excitation. The resulting hybrid polaritonic states appear directly in radioluminescence, opening a route toward polariton‐enabled scintillator design beyond conventional Purcell enhancement.

Light‐Programmed Localized Supersaturation Enables Ambient Aqueous Synthesis of Highly Crystalline Metal–Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In the proposed model, a photoinduced nanoreactor uses Cu2O self‐photooxidation to generate localized supersaturation. A metastable supersaturation state first forms a shell, creating a spatially confined environment that restricts reactant exchange; continued Cu release then drives the local environment toward a labile regime that favors predominantly

Preparation and characterisation of bifunctional surface-modified silicone catheter in lumen

open access: yesJournal of Global Antimicrobial Resistance, 2020
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the coating of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) to the surface of a silicone catheter to reduce bacterial growth and to increase hydrophilicity, respectively.
