Microcomputer Control of PWM Inverters
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1982A method is proposed for implementing on a microcomputer the control of inverters modulated with a digital technique. It consists of storing in the microcomputer memory the switching patterns relative to a limited number of levels of the first harmonics of the inverter output voltage and of computing on line the actual pattern by interpolating the ...

Chaos from PWM Electrohydraulic Servo
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1990The phenomenon of CHAOS for discret models control systems Is discussed. A PWM electrohidraulic servo Is studied. This nonlinear servo control has its fixed point determined, It has Its stability regions delimited as a function of its parameters. Ve use Mar otto's theorem to show the sufficient conditions to exist CHAOS.

"Dead-band" PWM switching patterns
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1996Reference/modulating waveform continuity is not a necessary condition for the implementation of switching patterns for three-phase pulse-width modulated (PWM) converters if the load or the source are Y-connected. This is based on the fact that the converter phase-voltages do not need to be sinusoidal and switching pattern discontinuities-"dead-bands ...

New PWM method for single-phase three-level PWM rectifiers
ISIE '97 Proceeding of the IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2002This paper presents a simple switching method to generate a PWM pattern mostly relevant to single-phase three-level PWM rectifiers. The adopted PWM switching pattern is performed in a manner similar to the space vector PWM method, which is popularly used in three-phase rectifiers and inverters. A set of possible voltages is selected so that an equation

New PWM-Controlled GTO Converter
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1985A new pulsewidth modulation (PWM)-controlled GTO converter circuit is proposed. An auxiliary circuit capacitor is used to treat the commutating energy in the main circuit and to clamp the commutating impulse voltage at the desired level with the fundamental power factor of unity. An analysis of the circuit operation is verified experimentally.

Analysis of PWM Frequency Control to Improve the Lifetime of PWM Inverter
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2009Studies have shown that the power cycling Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) of the IGBT bond wire in an adjustable speed drive (ASD) may be very short under some very common conditions. This paper proposes a switching frequency reduction method based on junction temperature variation (ΔTj) of the inverter IGBT. It has the following advantages.

Optimized total harmonics distortion PWM and multi-carries PWM: Comparison
2015 IEEE 5th International Conference on Power Engineering, Energy and Electrical Drives (POWERENG), 2015In this paper, the comparison between the optimized total harmonic distortions OTHD PWM and the traditional multi-carriers PWM is studied to generate high quality output spectrum in five level inverter. For the OTHPWM, the switching angles are computed by solving a non-linear equation using the differential evolution method.
