Optimized total harmonics distortion PWM and multi-carries PWM: Comparison
2015 IEEE 5th International Conference on Power Engineering, Energy and Electrical Drives (POWERENG), 2015In this paper, the comparison between the optimized total harmonic distortions OTHD PWM and the traditional multi-carriers PWM is studied to generate high quality output spectrum in five level inverter. For the OTHPWM, the switching angles are computed by solving a non-linear equation using the differential evolution method.

A Comparative Study of Sinusoidal PWM and Space Vector PWM of an Induction Machine
2019The inverter is a static converter that provides an AC voltage of adjustable amplitude and frequency from a DC voltage source. Any type of inverter (voltage or current) requires a control technique that depends on the type of machine to be controlled. Mainly, the standard performance makes it possible to evaluate and compare the different techniques of

A simulation benchmark for selection of the PWM algorithms for a multilevel PWM matrix converter
2014 International Conference on Optimization of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (OPTIM), 2014This paper considers the conventional three-phase matrix converter operated with PWM techniques making use of all possible commutation vectors. The output phase voltage can see multiple voltage levels - hence the multilevel matrix converter name. The hardware set-up to achieve the matrix converter operation can be built of three 3-phase Current-Source ...

The inverter circuit of Fig. 15.1 is operated by a sinusoidally pulse width modulated signal to produce an output with minimum distortion. The same modes apply as in Fig. 15.3 of the single pulse system of the previous chapter. The most likely mode sequence though is A, continuous conduction of current.

Interrupts, Timers, Counters, and PWM
2017Interrupts are one of the simplest concepts related to microcontrollers. Let me explain interrupts as simply as possible by referring to everyday life. Imagine that you need to wake up at 6:00 am. There are two ways to know when you have to wake up. One way is to keep checking the clock until it’s 6:00.
