Conductance (or current) control of switching regulators generally uses peak or hysteresis (e.g. LC/sup 3/) controllers, the advantages and problems of which have been widely reported. The behavior of a simple conventional pulsewidth-modulated (PWM) conductance control principle that has been used on space programs is described and analyzed.

Microcomputer Control of PWM Inverters
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1982A method is proposed for implementing on a microcomputer the control of inverters modulated with a digital technique. It consists of storing in the microcomputer memory the switching patterns relative to a limited number of levels of the first harmonics of the inverter output voltage and of computing on line the actual pattern by interpolating the ...

New PWM-Controlled GTO Converter
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1985A new pulsewidth modulation (PWM)-controlled GTO converter circuit is proposed. An auxiliary circuit capacitor is used to treat the commutating energy in the main circuit and to clamp the commutating impulse voltage at the desired level with the fundamental power factor of unity. An analysis of the circuit operation is verified experimentally.

PWM Controlled Proportional Equipment
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012The paper presents an experimental model of PWM controlled proportional pneumatic direction control valve developed by the authors, as well as the functioning of a pneumatic system that incorporates the original solution of valve. The main parameters that control the system can be settled using a software application developed for that purpose.

Experimental PWM Controlled Device
2019 International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing (ICIEAM), 2019Using Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) for LEDs powering, the frequency should be high enough so that the human eye does not notice flicker. High frequency also allows for a significant energy efficiency: most LEDs have a peak of the efficiency close to the maximum current allowed. Thus, the pulse switching on the current maximum with brightness adjustment

PWM Inverter Control by System Control Theory
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1990Abstract Systematical design method of pulse patterns of PWM(Pulse Width Modurated) inverter is proposed in this paper on the basis of system control theory. Merits of the design by means of system control theory are as follows: (1) Pulse patterns are designed in consideration of the load conditions and then, optimal pulse patterns are designed for ...
