Biohybrid Tendons Enhance the Power‐to‐Weight Ratio and Modularity of Muscle‐Powered Robots
Biohybrid robots powered by skeletal muscle actuators are capable of dynamically adapting to environmental cues. This study takes inspiration from native muscle–tendon architecture by leveraging tough hydrogels as synthetic tendons for muscle actuators to enhance the power‐to‐weight ratio and modularity of biohybrid machines.

This article proposes a neural network‐based cyber attack detection and mitigation scheme to detect and mitigate false data injection attacks on the sensors. Neural networks are used for the prediction of duty; a combination of a data sampler and a binary attack detector detects the presence of an attack.

Smart Optogenetics for Real‐Time Automated Control of Cardiac Electrical Activity
We are able to stop dangerous heart‐rhythm spirals before they fully form. Within about 100 ms, it pinpoints the spiral's tiny central tip (≈0.9 mm) using light‐based sensing and machine learning, then shines targeted light to shut it down. This fast, precise, closed‐loop approach detects, targets, and terminates arrhythmias in real time.
