A Carrier-Based PWM Control Strategy for Three-Level NPC Inverter Based on Bootstrap Gate Drive Circuit

IEEE transactions on power electronics, 2020
This paper proposes a pulsewidth modulation (PWM) control strategy for the efficient operation of the three-phase three-level neutral-point-clamped (NPC) inverters based on a bootstrap gate drive circuit. The bootstrap circuit used in the three-level NPC

PWM conductance control

PESC '88 Record., 19th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2003
Conductance (or current) control of switching regulators generally uses peak or hysteresis (e.g. LC/sup 3/) controllers, the advantages and problems of which have been widely reported. The behavior of a simple conventional pulsewidth-modulated (PWM) conductance control principle that has been used on space programs is described and analyzed.

Microcomputer Control of PWM Inverters

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1982
A method is proposed for implementing on a microcomputer the control of inverters modulated with a digital technique. It consists of storing in the microcomputer memory the switching patterns relative to a limited number of levels of the first harmonics of the inverter output voltage and of computing on line the actual pattern by interpolating the ...

New PWM-Controlled GTO Converter

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1985
A new pulsewidth modulation (PWM)-controlled GTO converter circuit is proposed. An auxiliary circuit capacitor is used to treat the commutating energy in the main circuit and to clamp the commutating impulse voltage at the desired level with the fundamental power factor of unity. An analysis of the circuit operation is verified experimentally.
