An analysis of delta modulated PWM inverter
1985 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1985This paper presents an analysis of a voltage source delta modulation (DM) inverter. The delta modulation method provides several advantageous characteristics over commonly used sine modulation process. It is relatively easy to implement and provides low harmonics at the inverter output.

A class of optimal multilevel inverters based on sectionalized PWM (S-PWM) modulation strategy
2009 52nd IEEE International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2009The paper extends previous work on a novel multilevel PWM strategy to design and implement an optimal inverter for a stand-alone PV application. This modulation strategy produces a much higher fundamental output compared to conventional SPWM without any pulse dropping. Phase-shifted carriers have been used to produce a harmonically superior SPWM signal.

A hybrid PWM modulation scheme for PV inverter
2013 1st International Future Energy Electronics Conference (IFEEC), 2013A hybrid PWM scheme for three-level PV inverter is presented. Firstly, modulation schemes are compared with respect to conversion loss with loss breakdown analysis. Then a hybrid PWM scheme is investigated for the PV inverter.
