Optimized modulation for PWM rectifiers
2002 IEEE Power Engineering Society Winter Meeting. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.02CH37309), 2003An optimized set-up for controlling PWM rectifiers is proposed in this paper. In particular, the control part is based on a predictive estimation algorithm which guarantees the imposed value of the DC link output voltage and, at the same time, a unity power factor behavior at the mains.

Suppression Method of Current Harmonic for Three-Phase PWM Rectifier in EV Charging System
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2020Under the unbalanced condition of grid voltages, the second-order harmonic voltage ripple will appear on the DC bus of the three-phase PWM rectifier due to the existence of the negative sequence voltages.

Low losses modulation of PWM-rectifiers
APEC. Seventeenth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (Cat. No.02CH37335), 2003An optimized modulation technique which is specific for PWM-rectifiers is proposed in this paper. It is based on the imposition of modulation frequencies different for the three rectifier legs, selected according to the power modules commutation losses.

A ZCS-PWM interleaved boost rectifier
2015 IEEE International Telecommunications Energy Conference (INTELEC), 2013This paper analyses and designs a ZVS-PWM single-phase high power factor interleaved boost rectifier. The proposed rectifier combines the conventional pulse-width-modulation technique, soft commutation technique and instantaneous average line current control to promote the circuit performance.

PWM rectifier using indirect voltagesensing
IEE Proceedings - Electric Power Applications, 1999A voltage source PWM converter can be used as the input stage to a four-quadrant variable-speed drive to give bidirectional power flow, and sinusoidal input currents with near unity power factor. The paper describes a method for line synchronisation and control of a PWM rectifier which uses indirect supply voltage sensing and gives fast update of line ...

Modified hysteresis controlled PWM rectifier
IEE Proceedings - Electric Power Applications, 2003A modified hysteresis current controller for the control of a PWM rectifier is presented. Mathematical modelling and control of the PWM rectifier is described. Controller parameters are designed in the discrete-time domain. A comparison study between a conventional hysteresis current controller and the modified hysteresis current controller is ...

A Novel Predictive Control For PWM Rectifier
2007 IEEE International Electric Machines & Drives Conference, 2007A novel predictive control for PWM rectifier is proposed in this paper. The algorithm is based on a step-by-step prediction of the converter variables, on the basis of the actual power request and operating conditions. In particular, the control algorithm carries out the converter modulation pattern, in order to achieve a unity power factor at the ...
