Activity of A Novel Succinate Dehydrogenase Inhibitor Fungicide Pydiflumetofen Against Fusarium fujikuroi causing Rice Bakanae Disease

Plant Disease, 2021
New fungicides are tools to manage fungal diseases and overcome emerging resistance in fungal pathogens. In this study, a total of 121 Fusarium fujikuroi isolates were collected from various geographical regions of China and their sensitivity to a novel succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI) fungicide ‘pydiflumetofen’ was evaluated.

Baseline sensitivity of Cercospora zeae-maydis to pydiflumetofen, a new succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor fungicide

Crop Protection, 2019
Abstract Gray leaf spot, caused by the fungus Cercospora zeae-maydis, is an important foliar disease of corn (Zea mays) in the United States (U.S.). Application of foliar products that contain quinone outside inhibitor (QoI) and demethylation inhibitor (DMI) fungicides is one way that corn farmers in the U.S. manage this disease.

Duration of protection of peanut from late leaf spot disease by pydiflumetofen

Crop, Forage & Turfgrass Management
AbstractLate leaf spot disease [caused by Nothopassalora personata (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) U. Braun, C. Nakash., Videira & Crous] and southern stem rot (caused by Athelia rolfsii Sacc.) are economically important diseases in peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) in North Carolina.

Enantioselective fate and risk assessment of chiral fungicide pydiflumetofen in rice-fish and wheat farming systems

Science of The Total Environment
Fungicides have been widely used for reducing the losses caused by plant diseases. Rice and wheat are the most basic food crops, and the potential risks after applying fungicides are worthy of attention. Especially rice-fish farming system is an ecological symbiosis system that is beneficial to both environmental and ecological protection. However, the

Multiple mutations in succinate dehydrogenase subunits conferring resistance to fungicide Pydiflumetofen in Magnaporthe oryzae

Pest Management Science
AbstractBACKGROUNDMagnaporthe oryzae is the causal agent of rice blast disease. Pydiflumetofen, a novel succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI), has promising potential for controlling rice blast owing to the antifungal activity of this fungicide.RESULTSThe median effective concentration (EC50) of 18 M.

Control of Botrytis cinerea from Chilean Grapevines by Pydiflumetofen: Baseline and Carboxamide-Mutant Sensitivity

Plant Disease
The gray mold (Botrytis cinerea; Botrytis) is the main disease affecting grapevine production in Chile. Succinate dehydrogenase inhibitors belonging to the carboxamide fungicide family are a key tool for the control of Botrytis in grapevines from the Chilean Central Valley.

Sensitivity of Botrytis cinerea from Vineyards to Boscalid, Isofetamid, and Pydiflumetofen in Shandong Province, China

Phytopathology®
Succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI) fungicides are the most commonly and effectively used class of fungicides for controlling gray mold. Among them, only boscalid has been registered in China for controlling grape gray mold, whereas isofetamid and pydiflumetofen are two new SDHI fungicides that have demonstrated high efficacy against various ...

Biological and molecular characterization of pydiflumetofen and phenamacril dual‐resistant Fusarium graminearum strains

Pest Management Science
AbstractBACKGROUNDFusarium head blight (FHB) caused by Fusarium graminearum species complex (FGSG) remains a major challenge to cereal crops and resistance to key fungicides by the pathogen threatens control efficacy. Pydiflumetofen, a succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor, and phenamacril, a cyanoacrylate fungicide targeting myosin I, have been applied to
