Antenatal diagnosis and management of fetal inguinoscrotal hernia: A case report with literature review

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, Volume 52, Issue 8, Page 1198-1203, October 2024.
The fetus testicular descent begins from 24 to 25 weeks' gestation. Descent begins after 32 weeks of gestational age in 97% of the fetuses. Pediatric inguinoscrotal hernia is a common surgical condition, but only 21 cases of fetal inguinoscrotal hernia have been reported. It should not be overlooked in prenatal examination.

Do antro‐duodenal manometry parameters predict clinical response after gastric peroral endoscopic pyloromyotomy in refractory gastroparesis?

open access: yesNeurogastroenterology &Motility, Volume 36, Issue 10, October 2024.
No antro‐duodenal manometry parameters were identified to predict clinical response after G‐POEM in refractory gastroparesis (GP) patients. A high percentage of abnormal ADM was found, in particular with relation to enteric dysmotility. Therefore, a more precise understanding of the pathomechanisms of GP is essential for the optimization of therapeutic

Symptoms from the Gastroparesis Cardinal Symptom Index and clinical factors associated with delayed gastric emptying in patients with suspected gastroparesis

open access: yesNeurogastroenterology &Motility, Volume 36, Issue 8, August 2024.
Tertiary care patients with upper gastrointestinal symptoms were more likely to have delayed gastric emptying when they had a higher weight loss, diabetes, previous surgery, or vomiting symptoms. The Gastroparesis Cardinal Symptom Index score alone could not predict the result of the GE test.
