Optimized geometry pyramidal absorber for normal incidence case
2013 6th International Conference on Recent Advances in Space Technologies (RAST), 2013To improve accuracy of the EMC measurements in anechoic chambers, a new absorber shape is presented in this study that results in a lower reflection coefficient than the commonly used pyramidal shape for the normal incidence case of the plane electromagnetic wave.

Construct Effective Geometry Aware Feature Pyramid Network for Multi-Scale Object Detection
Proceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2022Feature Pyramid Network (FPN) has been widely adopted to exploit multi-scale features for scale variation in object detection. However, intrinsic defects in most of the current methods with FPN make it difficult to adapt to the feature of different geometric objects.

Pyramidal Sections in Taxicab Geometry
Mathematics Magazine, 1982The formula for the Eucidean distance between two points in the plane leads, early in the study of analytic geometry, to the definitions of the classical conic sections-the circle, ellipse, and hyperbola-in terms of distances to fixed points. Additionally, the parabola can be defined in terms of distances to a fixed point and a fixed line. After modest

Generalized Deformable Spatial Pyramid: Geometry-preserving dense correspondence estimation
2015 IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR), 2015We present a Generalized Deformable Spatial Pyramid (GDSP) matching algorithm for calculating the dense correspondence between a pair of images with large appearance variations. The main challenges of the problem generally originate in appearance dissimilarities and geometric variations between images.

Field induced single ion magnet behavior in CoII complexes in a distorted square pyramidal geometry
Dalton Transactions, 2023We report three CoII-based square pyramidal complexes, [CoII(L)(X)2] (X = SeCN, Cl and Br). The structural distortions in these complexes induce a variation in the anisotropy parameter D and hence in their magnetic properties.

AbstractThe five‐coordinate geometry is an important factor in phosphoryl group transfer, particularly for phosphate ester hydrolysis. In the following review we analyze the five‐coordinate geometries for a range of VO4X coordination spheres with regard to their structure from the point of view of square pyramidal or trigonal bipyramidal geometries ...

Pixel-pyramid model for divergent projection geometry
Optical Engineering, 2005Divergent projection refers to fan-beam or cone-beam projection originating from a point source, which is commonly seen in x-ray imaging. Conventionally, the divergent projection calculation is carried out using a ray model, in which each detector pixel (cell) receives radiations emanating from a point source, in a form of straight-line ray. The finite

Geometry Structure Optimization of Hexagonal Pyramidal Full Tensor Magnetic Gradient Probe
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2016In full tensor magnetic gradient measurement system based on superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs), six first-order planar-type SQUID gradiometers mounted on the six sloping facets of a hexagonal pyramid can form the probe and determine all independent components of the magnetic gradient tensor with the help of triaxial SQUID ...

The Geometry of Zoser's Step Pyramid at Saqqara
Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians, 1986The Step Pyramid of Zoser at Saqqara is examined from the point of view of constructive geometry and mensuration. The evidence is that it is based on geometric proportion, though this may simply be the outcome of peg-and-chord technology employed in setting out the monument. The procedure that the architect may have followed in setting out the monument
