Surface‐bound ferulate phenolate complexes undergo styrene‐like polymerization on alumina, yielding a polymeric carbonaceous layer that progressively transforms into polyaromatic carbon domains with concomitant release of aromatic products, while parallel surface‐assisted decarboxylation produces 4‐vinylguaiacol. ABSTRACT A fundamental understanding of

Conformational dynamics of the pyrene excimer
We characterized the S 1 state PES of the pyrene dimer, revealing key excimer conformations. A rapid shift to a stacked-twisted form dominates the excimer's structure and fluorescence.

We report a systematic study of β‐ketonitrile–modified Prodan‐type solvatochromic fluorophores. The β‐ketonitrile substitution induces marked bathochromic shifts in absorption and emission and significantly enhances fluorescence quantum yields in nonpolar solvents.

A comparative study across ligand‐stabilized gold nanoparticles and surfactant micelles reveals that molecular imprinting strongly depends on the nanoplatform used for imprinting. “Frustrated” noncovalent interactions within the monolayer on gold nanoparticle surface can be exploited to improve both the binding affinity and selectivity for ...

Tribenzotriquinacene Fused Dimers (“Fusodimers”)—Synthesis and Host–Guest Properties
Two tribenzotriquinacene units merged with each other in either syn‐ or anti‐orientation of the bowls have become accessible in a short synthesis. In contrast to the anti‐isomer, the syn‐isomer forms 1:1 host–guest complexes with both C60 and C70 in solution and in the solid state, as shown by 1H NMR spectroscopy and x‐ray diffraction.

Proximal steric tuning of quinoxaline‐fused pyrene heteroacenes enables soluble derivatives that exhibit solid‐state photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) up to 82%, surpassing previous benchmarks. This work reveals key structure–property relationships for next‐generation, processable organic emitters in advanced optoelectronic applications ...

ABSTRACT Cooperativity between cytoskeletal proteins is crucial for spatiotemporal coordination in biological processes, like oogenesis. In mammalian and Drosophila oogenesis, proper assembly and function of actin networks require coordination between actin assembly factors Spire and formins, as well as actin‐associated proteins like myosins and Rab ...
