Production of appressoria at the tips of hyphae of Pyricularia oryzae.

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Phytopathology, 1987
Appressoria-like structures (ALS) were formed at the tips of hyphae of the blast fungus in Petri dishes containing PDA or water agar. Some of them germinated in PDA media and produced again a relatively small appressorium at the tip of hypha germinated from the primary appressorium.

AKTIVITAS ANTIFUNGI EKSTRAK BIJI JARAK PAGAR (Jatropha curcas L.) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN FUNGI Pyricularia oryzae

open access: yes, 2016
Pyricularia oryzae is a fungus that causes blast disease in rice. Control of this disease usually uses synthetic pesticides, but pesticides have a negative impact on the enviroment and human health. Therefore, control that are enviromentally friendly and

Protocol for conditional gene expression in Magnaporthe oryzae via fungal nitrate reductase promoter replacement

open access: yesSTAR Protocols
Summary: Functional genomic studies rely on controlled gene expression, which is challenging for essential genes or those active only under specific conditions.

Biocontrol Potential of Rhizosphere Fungi Against Pyricularia Oryzae in Ciherang Rice Variety [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
Blast disease is an important disease of rice caused by Pyricularia oryzae. The use of antagonistic fungi from the rhizosphere of rice plants has the potential to control plant pathogens. One of them is from the genus Aspergillus.

Effect of isoprothiolane on the infection process of Pyricularia oryzae.

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Phytopathology, 1976
Isoprothiolane (IPT), diisopropyl 1, 3-dithiolane-2-ylidenemalonate was tested for its effect on vegetative growth and infection process of Pyricularia oryzae Cav. Mycelial growth in a glucose-yeast extract liquid medium was inhibited completely at 20ppm, and partially at 10 and 5ppm.

A novel L-arabinose-responsive regulator discovered in the rice-blast fungus Pyricularia oryzae (Magnaporthe oryzae)

open access: yes, 2016
In this study we identified the L-arabinose-responsive regulator of Pyricularia oryzae that regulates L-arabinose release and catabolism. Previously we identified the Zn2Cys6 transcription factor (TF), AraR, that has this role in the Trichocomaceae ...

Qualitative Resistance of Sarawak Rice Landraces Against Pyricularia oryzae [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Malaysia rice production is threatened by rice blast disease, caused by Pyricularia oryzae. Yield can be greatly reduced by this disease as it can attack all the aerial parts of rice including leaves, node, neck, and collar. The use of resistant cultivar,

Studies on Mixture Inoculation of Pyricularia oryzae on Rice

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Phytopathology, 1969
In order to know whether or not a simple method in which a formula Ra/Sa×Sv/Rv can be employed for calculation of the mutation frequency for virulence in blast fungus strains, the mixture inoculation effect between original (avirulent) and its mutant (virulent) strains was compared among several fungus strains. The existence of the mixture inoculation ...
