1‐butyl‐4‐methylpyridinium tetrafluoroborate (BMPyBF4) interacts with excess PbI2 during film formation, driving the formation of a low‐dimensional perovskite phase and enabling the self‐organization of a 3D/2D interfacial structure. This molecularly regulated interface suppresses defect‐mediated recombination and facilitates interfacial charge ...

Oxaziridines: Versatile Reagents in Modern Organic Synthesis
Being capable of transferring an O atom and N‐group/atom, oxaziridines are considered multitasking agents. These are employed for diverse organic transformations, such as epoxidation of olefins, α‐ and γ‐hydroxylation/amination of carbonyl compounds, oxidation of sulfides, [3+2]cycloaddition with unsaturated systems.

Catching Wyckoff’s Phantom: The Peculiar Crystal Structure of Orthorhombic Cs[ICl2]
Over 100 years after the first crystallographic elucidation, the still elusive orthorhombic modification of Cs[ICl2] could be isolated and structurally elucidated from the reaction of aqueous H[ICl4] with Cs2CO3. The [ICl2]− anion shows an unusually large bond length asymmetry, which shows characteristics of a Cl−∙∙∙I–Cl complex with an extremely ...

Visible light photolysis of a N‐(N,N‐diarylaminopyridinium) salt allows for covalent modification of a peptide. Mass spectrometry demonstrates that this procedure selectively labels tryptophan residues. Laser flash photolysis experiments show that bond formation occurs via a diarylnitrenium ion intermediate.

Spectral studies on pyridinium hexafluorophosphate
Pure samples of pyridinium hexafluorophosphate ($C_5H_5$$^+_NHPF^-_6$) were prepared by the reaction of pyridinium poly(hydrogen fluoride) and phosphorus(V) halides. The i.r.

Design of Lipopeptides and dsRNA‐Lipopeptide Complexes for Sprayable RNAi‐Based Plant Protection
Lipopeptide surfactants self‐assemble into nanostructure carriers that complex, protect, and deliver dsRNA, establishing structure–function relationships for next‐generation RNAi‐based insect control. ABSTRACT Broad‐spectrum insecticides persist in the environment, affecting non‐target organisms and selecting for resistant pest populations. In contrast,

Pyridine and pyridinium-based anion receptors
Pyridine and pyridinium heterocycles play an important role in anion receptor chemistry. Hydrogen bond arrays are frequently preorganized by the presence of the pyridine nitrogen lone pair of electrons, whilst the positively charged pyridinium group is ...

Structural and Spectroscopic Evidence of Hydrogen Bonded Anionic Wires in Protic Ionic Liquids
Anionic wires of deprotonated carboxylic acids challenge the general wisdom that like charges repel. The hydrogen bond motif observed in the X‐ray structure is even preserved in the liquid state of the material as shown by δ1H NMR spectroscopy. The experimental and theoretical findings provide deep insight into the nature of hydrogen bonding.
