Since past decade, our laboratory is concerned with transition-metal catalyzed C-H functionalization of heterocycles. A recent research program is dedicated to the class of N-acyl amidine pro-aromatic heterocycles. This present thesis work is first directed to the pyrimidin-4-one series that remains highly sparsely evaluated.
