Study on the distribution law of co-pyrolysis products of tar models and sawdust
In this study, toluene and acetic acid were investigated as model biomass tars, and sawdust was used as the feedstock. Co-pyrolysis experiments were conducted in a first-order fixed-bed reaction system to maximize the tar removal from sawdust.

A method for reducing the tar content in pyrolysis gas [PDF]
Disclosed is a method for reducing the tar content in pyrolysis gas generated in a pyrolysis reactor (1). The method comprises the steps of: guiding the pyrolysis gas through a filter (2) to remove at least 90% of all the particles in the pyrolysis gas having a particle size down to 7 μ and preferably down to 4 μ from the pyrolysis gas, partially ...

Tar and soot generation behaviors from ABS, PC and PE pyrolysis [PDF]
In this study we performed a non-isothermal thermogravimetric analysis on three thermoplastics—ABS, PC and PE. The Coats and Redfern method (Nature 201:68–69, 1964) was then used to approximate the kinetic parameters of each material.

A kinetic approach to catalytic pyrolysis of tars
Abstract A kinetic model to describe the catalytic pyrolysis of tars is proposed and validated through the experimental pyrolysis of three tars of different characteristics and origin; calcined limestone (11 m 2 /g) was used as catalyst. Experiments were carried out in a catalytic fixed bed reactor.
