New Operators Using Pythagorean Fuzzy Open Sets

open access: yesNanotechnology Perceptions
In this chapter, some new operators called pf (resp. pfδ, pfδP,pfδS,pfδα and pfδβ) frontier respective border and exterior with the help of pfos (resp. pfδos, pfδPos,pfδSos,pfδαos and pfδβos)’s in Pythagorean fuzzy topological spaces are introduced. Further, the important properties are discussed with examples.

Risk Analysis Under Uncertainty, Subjectivity, and Incomplete Knowledge: With a Use Case of Energy System Failures

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2025.
FR‐FMEA combines fuzzy logic and rough set theory to address uncertainty and incomplete knowledge in failure analysis. Applied to a gas turbine system, it delivers more reliable and distinct risk rankings, identifying critical components for targeted maintenance and improved reliability.

Circular Pythagorean fuzzy sets and applications to multi-criteria decision making

open access: yes, 2022
In this paper, we introduce the concept of circular Pythagorean fuzzy set (value) (C-PFS(V)) as a new generalization of both circular intuitionistic fuzzy sets (C-IFSs) proposed by Atannassov and Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PFSs) proposed by Yager.

Ranking Journal Quality by Harmonic Mean of Ranks: An Application to ISI Statistics & Probability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
As the preponderance of journal rankings becomes increasingly more frequent and prominent in academic decision making, such rankings in broad discipline categories is taking on an increasingly important role.

Wittgenstein and concept‐extension in mathematics

open access: yesPhilosophical Investigations, Volume 48, Issue 3, Page 333-348, July 2025.
Abstract I begin by attempting to get a perspicuous overview of what Wittgenstein means by saying that a mathematical proof forms concepts. I then distinguish these sorts of cases from those we might call concept‐extending proofs, which, rather than introducing new concepts, function to enrich those concepts that have already been given a home in our ...

Energy of Pythagorean Fuzzy Graphs with Applications

open access: yesMathematics, 2018
Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PFSs), an extension of intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs), inherit the duality property of IFSs and have a more powerful ability than IFSs to model the obscurity in practical decision-making problems.

A New Divergence Measure of Pythagorean Fuzzy Sets Based on Belief Function and Its Application in Medical Diagnosis

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
As the extension of the fuzzy sets (FSs) theory, the intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) play an important role in handling the uncertainty under the uncertain environments.

Exploring Potential Biomarkers for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Using Postmortem In Situ Magnetic Resonance Imaging

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 38, Issue 6, June 2025.
Differences in diffusivity and relaxometry were observed between in situ postmortem brains of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and controls. These findings could contribute to the development of new prognostic and diagnostic MRI biomarkers.

Evaluating the Adoption of Industry 4.0, Sustainability and Circular Economy Drivers to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals–Oriented Agri‐Food Supply Chains

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, Volume 34, Issue 4, Page 4871-4895, May 2025.
ABSTRACT The consideration of Industry 4.0, sustainability and circular economy (I4.0‐S‐CE) drivers plays a pivotal role in the development of agri‐food supply chains (AFSCs) that aim to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs). Establishing SDGs‐oriented AFSCs is critical for meeting the agricultural needs of developing countries, prioritizing ...
