Interval-valued Pythagorean Fuzzy Frank Power Aggregation Operators based on An Isomorphic Frank Dual Triple

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, 2018
Interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PFSs), as an extension of PFSs, have strong potential in the management of complex uncertainty in real-world applications.

Diophantine Equation 4k2−1nx+4kny=4k2+1nz

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
Let a,b,c be a primitive Pythagorean triple such that a2+b2=c2 with 2b. In 1956, L. Jesmanowicz conjectured that, for any positive integer n, the equation anx+bny=cnz has only the positive solution x,y,z=2,2,2. In 1959, Lu Wenduan claimed that if n=1 and

From Molecule to Meaning: Click and Bioorthogonal Chemical Reporters for Plant Systems, Biological Imaging, and Artistic Expression. [PDF]

open access: yesChembiochem
At the intersection of chemical biology, plant imaging, and contemporary art, this review introduces the concept of chembioart. By tracing how chemical reporters illuminate plant biomolecules in vivo, their role not only in advancing scientific understanding but also in inspiring transdisciplinary collaborations and visual expression is highlighted ...

Role of preoperative transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) in intermediate-stage hepatocellular carcinoma (Hong Kong liver cancer stage IIB). [PDF]

open access: yesWorld J Surg
Abstract Introduction Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) has an established role in advanced HCC. The present study evaluates the role of TACE as a neoadjuvant modality in the management of intermediate HCC [Hong Kong Liver Cancer (HKLC) stage IIB].

An Extended Kannan Contraction Mapping and Applications [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematical, Engineering and Management Sciences
We extend the Kannan contraction principle and obtain a result that holds for both contractive and non-expansive mappings. Such mappings admit multiple fixed-points and the fixed-point sets and domains of these mappings display interesting algebraic ...

Incremental and Transitive Discrete Rotations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A discrete rotation algorithm can be apprehended as a parametric application $f\_\alpha$ from $\ZZ[i]$ to $\ZZ[i]$, whose resulting permutation ``looks like'' the map induced by an Euclidean rotation.

Generalized Pythagorean Triples and Pythagorean Triple Preserving Matrices

open access: yesMissouri Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2009
Traditionally, Pythagorean triples (PT) consist of three positive integers, $(x, y, z) \in \mathbb{Z}^3_+$, such that $x^2 + y^2 = z^2$, and Pythagorean triple preserving matrices (PTPM) $A$ are $3 \times 3$ matrices with entries in the real numbers $\R$, such that the product $(x, y, z)A$ is also a Pythagorean triple.

Clifford Algebras and Euclid's Parameterization of Pythagorean Triples

open access: yes, 2012
We show that the space of Euclid's parameters for Pythagorean triples is endowed with a natural symplectic structure and that it emerges as a spinor space of the Clifford algebra $\mathbb{R}_{2,1}$, whose minimal version may be conceptualized as a 4 ...

3D investigation and modeling of the geometric effects on porosity in packed beds

open access: yesAIChE Journal, Volume 72, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract In porous beds, physical boundaries restrict particle arrangement, leading to inhomogeneous porosity. This paper reports on the porosity profiles that are the result of geometric effects on monodisperse packed beds in cylindrical and cubic arrangements. Special focus is given to the influence of edges and corners in cubic geometries.
