Microstructure of PZT Capacitor Structures

Ferroelectrics, 2003
TEM, EDX, HREM studies of structure and phase content of lead titanate zirconate (PZT) thin ferroelectric films with the Ti/Zr atomic ration 47/53 prepared by sol-gel deposition with 0-30% exess of Pb have been carried out. The Si/SiO 2 /Ti/Pt substrates have been used as a metallization system.

Influence of the Incorporation of PZT (95/5) on PZT-5A Ceramics

Ferroelectrics, 2002
A comparative study of the microstructure, electric and piezoelectric properties has been done on an unmodified PZT-5A and modified PZT-5A with PZT 95/5 prepared by two routes: mixed oxides and hydroxide coprecipitation. Piezoelectric and dielectric properties of the materials has been characterised.

The Canadian PZT’s

International Astronomical Union Colloquium, 1972
SUMMARYThe location of Ottawa PZT’s at various times was explained.PZT N° 1, modelled after the Washington PZT was located – from 1952-1960 in main observatory building, Ottawa 1960-1967.3 in special hut before observatory building 1967.4, near Calgary, Alberta, on the same parallel as Herstmonceux (within a few seconds of arc).

Preparation of PZT fine powders for fabricating PZT thick films

Ferroelectrics, 2001
Abstract A new process for preparation of PZT fine powder was proposed. By adding acetone and ammonia water to the precursor solution at suitable stages, nanosized powders with minimum agglomeration can be obtained. The effect of these additives on the powder preparation is analyzed according to the principle of the growth dynamics and the ...

A sol-gel PZT/PZT transducer for coaxial photoacoustic imaging

2016 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS), 2016
Photoacoustic (PA) imaging employs a pulsed laser to generate acoustic waves to be detected with a piezoelectric transducer. A coaxial, or even confocal, optical-acoustic arrangement has been desired to achieve high resolution and high sensitivity PA imaging. This research reports several designs and fabrications of sol-gel based PZT/PZT single-element

Secrets of PZT

2008 17th IEEE International Symposium on the Applications of Ferroelectrics, 2008
Lead zirconate titanate, Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 or PZT, is the best known and most important piezoelectric material. During the fifty years since its discovery its structure and properties have been studied in a great detail. Despite these efforts and the fact that PZT is used in innumerable devices its properties are still not well understood. PZT is not (widely)

Effect of the physical parameters of longitudinally polarized PZT tubes on PZT sensors

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2020
Abstract Lead zirconium titanate (PZT) sensors have been investigated in various fields. Related research focuses mainly on experiments, analyses are hardly conducted in PZT parameters and PZT sensor performance. In order to improve the PZT sensors’ performance from PZT structural parameter design, simulations on PZT tube’s ...

PZT-5A4/PA and PZT-5A4/PDMS piezoelectric composite bimorphs

Smart Materials and Structures, 2014
Disc type reinforced piezoelectric composite bimorphs with series connection were designed and the performance was investigated. The composite bimorphs (PZT/PA and PZT/PDMS (40/60 vol%)) were successfully fabricated by a compression molding and solution casting technique.
