Power harvesting with PZT ceramics
Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2007Piezoelectric materials have been proposed as embedded power source, which are capable of converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. However, power generated from a piezoelectric material usually comes with poor characteristics such as high voltage, low current and high impedance.

Preparation of PZT fine powders for fabricating PZT thick films
Ferroelectrics, 2001Abstract A new process for preparation of PZT fine powder was proposed. By adding acetone and ammonia water to the precursor solution at suitable stages, nanosized powders with minimum agglomeration can be obtained. The effect of these additives on the powder preparation is analyzed according to the principle of the growth dynamics and the ...

2008 17th IEEE International Symposium on the Applications of Ferroelectrics, 2008
Lead zirconate titanate, Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 or PZT, is the best known and most important piezoelectric material. During the fifty years since its discovery its structure and properties have been studied in a great detail. Despite these efforts and the fact that PZT is used in innumerable devices its properties are still not well understood. PZT is not (widely)

A sol-gel PZT/PZT transducer for coaxial photoacoustic imaging
2016 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS), 2016Photoacoustic (PA) imaging employs a pulsed laser to generate acoustic waves to be detected with a piezoelectric transducer. A coaxial, or even confocal, optical-acoustic arrangement has been desired to achieve high resolution and high sensitivity PA imaging. This research reports several designs and fabrications of sol-gel based PZT/PZT single-element

(Mn, Sb)-doped PZT and Nb-doped PZT uncooled IR detectors
SPIE Proceedings, 1999Mn and Sb-doped Pb(Zr, Ti)O3 (PMSZT) and Nb-doped PZT (PNZT) thin film IR detectors have been integrated with Si substrates. A conducting YBCO layer in the IR detector was used as an atomic template for the epitaxial growth of the PMSZT and PNZT thin films, as well as a good IR-reflector.

PZT Thin Films from Bulk PZT for Vibration Power Harvester Applications
Advanced Materials Research, 2011The objective of this work was the development of a technology for the fabrication of piezoelectric PZT thin films from bulk PZT on silicon wafer for micro power harvester applications. With the lapping technique, the thickness of bulk PZT was reduced from 300µm to 10µm at the top data.
