Coded Modulation Based On Rings Of Integers Modulo-q Part 2: Convolutional Codes

open access: yes, 2015
The authors aim to present a coded modulation method based on multilevel convolutional codes defined over finite rings of integers. A previously developed theory is applied to multi-level convolutional codes.

De Novo Design of Membrane‐Targeting Antimicrobial Peptides Against Gram‐Negative Bacteria Using a Generative Artificial Intelligence Framework

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antimicrobial resistance caused by Gram‐negative bacteria remains difficult to overcome due to the protective outer membrane. To address this challenge, a multi‐condition constrained generative AI framework, GenMTAMP is proposed for de novo membrane‐targeting antimicrobial peptide design by integrating physicochemical and spatial structure descriptors.

Integers without large prime factors

open access: yes, 1973
Let u > 3 and β > √e/(√e−1) be real numbers and let β0=β−√e/(√e−1). Let a and q be relatively prime positive integers. Let Ψa(X, Y) denote the number of positive integers ⩽ X and ≡ a (mod q), whose largest prime factor is ⩽ Y.

Machine‐Learning‐Enhanced Printed Vertical Magnetoresistive Sensors for Transparent, Flexible, Multimodal Interactive Magnetoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents printed magnetoresistive sensors with a vertically aligned architecture that enables high optical transparency and mechanical flexibility. By integrating deep learning for the analysis of complex spatiotemporal signal patterns, the system further achieves intelligent multimodal interaction capabilities.

CauFinder: Steering Cell‐State and Phenotype Transitions by Causal Disentanglement Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CauFinder combines causal disentanglement modeling and network control to prioritize causal drivers of cell‐state transitions from observational transcriptomic data. The framework separates transition‐relevant signals from spurious associations, nominates intervention targets across biological and disease contexts, and identifies DAAM1 as an actionable

The problem of Diophantus for integers of Q(√−3)

open access: yes, 2014
We solve the problem of Diophantus for integers of the quadratic field Q(√−3) by finding a D(z)-quadruple in Z[(1+√−3)/2] for each z that can be represented as a difference of two squares of integers in Q(√−3), up to finitely many possible ...

Causal‐Guided Ultra‐Long‐Term Time Series Forecasting Via Anticipated Covariates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Often treated as unknown, information from the future remains underutilized. We demonstrate that in a coupled dynamical system, providing the future state of the effect enables accurate forecasting of the cause for a long timesteps. A time series forecasting paradigm that introduces anticipated covariates to represent such known future states is ...

New Approach to q-Euler Numbers and Polynomials

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2010
We give a new construction of the q-extensions of Euler numbers and polynomials. We present new generating functions which are related to the q-Euler numbers and polynomials.

People Counting and Positioning Using Low‐Resolution Infrared Images for FeFET‐Based In‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, low‐resolution infrared imaging is combined with a 28 nm FeFET IMC architecture to enable compact, energy‐efficient edge inference. MLC FeFET devices are experimentally characterized, and controlled multi‐level current accumulation is validated at crossbar array level.
