Demonstration of ultra-high-Q small mode volume toroid microcavities on a chip [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Optical microcavities confine light spatially and temporally and find application in a wide range of fundamental and applied studies. In many areas, the microcavity figure of merit is not only determined by photon lifetime (or the equivalent quality ...

A factorization method forq-Racah polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Difference Equations and Applications, 2012
We develop a factorization method for q-Racah polynomials. It is inspired to the approach to q-Hahn polynomials based on the q-Johnson scheme but we do not use association scheme theory nor Gel'fand pairs, but only manipolation of q-difference operators.

CircCCNB1 inhibits vasculogenic mimicry by sequestering NF90 to promote miR‐15b‐5p and miR‐7‐1‐3p processing in nasopharyngeal carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CircCCNB1 expression is down‐regulated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC); thus, less NF90 protein is bound to circCCNB1 and more binds to pri‐miRNAs, blocking their (pri‐miRNAs) binding to DGCR8 and inhibiting the processing and generation of miR‐15b‐5p/miR‐7‐1‐3p. Furthermore, decreased miR‐15b‐5p/miR‐7‐1‐3p promotes the expression of the target genes

Modulation of Q Factor and Fano Lineshape in Ge2Sb2Te5-Based Grating Structure

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2021
In this paper, the modulation of the Fano resonance (FR) of dielectric grating has been demonstrated by controlling the crystallization fraction of phase change material film.

Factors of certain sums involving central q-binomial coefficients [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Recently, Ni and Pan proved a $q$-congruence on certain sums involving central $q$-binomial coefficients, which was conjectured by Guo. In this paper, we give a generalization of this $q$-congruence and confirm another $q$-congruence, also conjectured by Guo.

From Tetraquark to Hexaquark: A Systematic Study of Heavy Exotics in the Large $N_c$ Limit [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.D51:6327-6331,1995, 1994
A systematic study of multiquark exotics with one or $N_c-1$ heavy quarks in the large $N_c$ limit is presented. By binding a chiral soliton to a heavy meson, either a normal $N_c$-quark baryon or an exotic $(N_c+2)$-quark baryon is obtained. By replacing the heavy quark with $N_c-1$ heavy antiquarks, exotic $(2N_c-2)$-quark and $2N_c$-quark mesons are

Classification of acute myeloid leukemia based on multi‐omics and prognosis prediction value

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The Unsupervised AML Multi‐Omics Classification System (UAMOCS) integrates genomic, methylation, and transcriptomic data to categorize AML patients into three subtypes (UAMOCS1‐3). This classification reveals clinical relevance, highlighting immune and chromosomal characteristics, prognosis, and therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Optical defect mode with tunable Q factor in a one-dimensional anisotropic photonic crystal [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We consider a one-dimensional photonic crystal composed of alternating layers of isotropic and anisotropic dielectric materials. Such a system has different band structures for different polarizations of light.

Finite-Dimensional Representations of the Quantum Superalgebra U$_{q}$[gl(2/2)]: II. Nontypical representations at generic $q$

open access: yes, 1994
The construction approach proposed in the previous paper Ref. 1 allows us there and in the present paper to construct at generic deformation parameter $q$ all finite--dimensional representations of the quantum Lie superalgebra $U_{q}[gl(2/2)]$.

Two-photon exchange at low Q^2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We study two-photon exchange for elastic electron-proton scattering at low Q^2. Compact approximate formulae for the amplitudes are obtained. Numerical calculations are done for Q^2 < 0.1 GeV^2 with several realistic form factor parameterizations ...
