Fano resonance with high Q-factor plays a pivotal role in the field of optoelectronic applications, especially refractive index sensing. However, ultra-high Q-factor for metallic metasurfaces has been a challenge due to their great ohmic losses.

How Do the Purcell Factor, the Q‐Factor, and the Beta Factor Affect the Laser Threshold?
Laser & Photonics reviews, 2021As lasers get more and more miniaturized and their dimensions become comparable to the wavelength, two interconnected phenomena take place: the fraction of spontaneous radiation going into a specific laser mode (β‐factor) increases and can ultimately ...

Greater than one billion Q factor for on-chip microresonators.
Optics Letters, 2020High optical quality (Q) factors are critically important in optical microcavities, where performance in applications spanning nonlinear optics to cavity quantum electrodynamics is determined.

Coenzyme Q as an Antiadipogenic Factor
Antioxidants & Redox Signaling, 2011Coenzyme Q (CoQ) is not only the single antioxidant synthesized in humans but also an obligatory element of mitochondrial functions. We have previously reported CoQ deficiency in white adipose tissue of ob/ob mice. We sought to determine (i) whether this deficit exists in all species and its relevance in human obesity and (ii) to what extent CoQ could ...

Factorizations of the groupsG 2 (q)
Archiv der Mathematik, 1985Let \(G_ 2(q)\) be the (simple) group of Lie type \((G_ 2)\) over the finite field GF(q). The following result is proved. Theorem. Let \(G=G_ 2(q)\) and \(G=AB\) where A, B are proper non-Abelian simple subgroups of G. Then one of the following holds: (1) \(q=4\) and \(A\cong HJ\), \(B\cong U_ 3(4)\); (2) \(q=3^ n\) and \(A\cong L_ 3(q)\), \(B\cong U_ ...

Q-Factor Studies for Multiport Antennas
2021 15th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP), 2021In this paper, we study the quality factor Q for multiport antennas. We demonstrate that determining the feeding signals of the ports has an essential role when aiming at minimizing the Q-factor. A simple example is used to illustrate the connection of the bandwidth and Q-factor.
