A topology on inequalities

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2006
We consider sets of inequalities in Real Analysis and construct a topology such that inequalities usually called "limit cases" of certain sequences of inequalities are in fact limits - in the precise topological sense - of such sequences.

Approximations for uniformly continuous functions on groupoids [PDF]

open access: yesSurveys in Mathematics and its Applications, 2017
The purpose of this paper is to prove an approximation/extension theorem for a family of partial functions on a groupoid satisfying a uniform compatibility condition.

Existence and uniqueness of solutions of nonlinear mixed integrodifferential equations with nonlocal condition in Banach Spaces

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2011
In this article, we study the existence and uniqueness of mild and strong solutions of a nonlinear mixed Volterra-Fredholm integrodifferential equation with nonlocal condition in Banach spaces.

Wavelet-Based Quantum Field Theory

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2007
The Euclidean quantum field theory for the fields $phi_{Delta x}(x)$, which depend on both the position $x$ and the resolution $Delta x$, constructed in SIGMA 2 (2006), 046, on the base of the continuous wavelet transform, is considered.

Factor-Group-Generated Polar Spaces and (Multi-)Qudits

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2009
Recently, a number of interesting relations have been discovered between generalised Pauli/Dirac groups and certain finite geometries. Here, we succeeded in finding a general unifying framework for all these relations.

Tribes of cubic partial cubes

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science, 2007
Partial cubes are graphs isometrically embeddable into hypercubes. Three infinite families and a few sporadic examples of cubic partial cubes are known.

Global behavior of the solutions of some difference equations

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2011
In this article we study the difference equation x n + 1 = a x n - l x n - k b x n - p - c x n - q , n = 0 , 1 , … , where the initial conditions x-r, x-r+1, x-r+2,..., x0 are arbitrary positive real ...

Solution to a system of equations modelling compressible fluid flow with capillary stress effects

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
We study the initial-value problem for a system of nonlinear equations that models the flow of a compressible fluid with capillary stress effects. The system includes hyperbolic equations for the density and for the velocity, and an algebraic equation

Existence and topological structure of solution sets for phi-Laplacian impulsive differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2012
In this article, we present results on the existence and the topological structure of the solution set for initial-value problems for the first-order impulsive differential equation $$displaylines{ (phi(y'))' = f(t,y(t)), quadhbox{a.e. } tin [0,b],cr

Positive and Dead-Core Solutions of Two-Point Singular Boundary Value Problems with ϕ-Laplacian

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2010
The paper discusses the existence of positive solutions, dead-core solutions, and pseudo-dead-core solutions of the singular problem (ϕ(u′))′=λf(t,u,u′), u(0)-αu′(0)=A, u(T)+βu′(0)+&#
