Comparison of Low‐Iodine Concentration Quantification Accuracy and Contrast‐To‐Noise Ratio Across Three Dual‐Energy CT Techniques: A Phantom Study

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
Using a clinical abdominal CT protocol, all three DECT techniques accurately quantified iodine. Rapid kV‐switching achieved the lowest detectable and quantifiable iodine concentrations, while dual‐layer DECT provided the highest normalised contrast‐to‐noise ratio on 40‐keV virtual monoenergetic images.

A systematic review on the direct approach to elicit the demand-side cost-effectiveness threshold: Implications for low- and middle-income countries.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
Several literature review studies have been conducted on cost-effectiveness threshold values. However, only a few are systematic literature reviews, and most did not investigate the different methods, especially in-depth reviews of directly eliciting WTP

The impact of willingness-to-pay threshold on price reduction recommendations for oncology drugs: a review of assessments conducted by the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health

open access: yesJournal of Comparative Effectiveness Research
Since late 2020, the Canadian Agency of Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) has been using a threshold of $50,000 (CAD) per quality-adjusted life-year (QALY) for both oncology and non-oncology drugs. When used for oncology products, this threshold

Immune checkpoint inhibitors-based therapies for first-line treatment of advanced ovarian cancer with non-BRCAm/HRD-negative: a cost-effectiveness analysis

open access: yesJournal of Ovarian Research
Background Emerging evidence supports the clinical potential of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) with or without bevacizumab and poly-(adenosine diphosphate-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors for refractory advanced ovarian cancer (AOC) with BRCA ...

Learning in radiation oncology: 12‐month experience with a new incident learning system

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, Volume 72, Issue 1, Page 63-73, March 2025.
Introduction of an incident learning incident (ILS) was shown to have had a positive impact on reporting and safety culture within a local health district (LHD). Survey findings correlate with existing literature that ILSs are effective tools for improving patient safety and departmental safety facilitating quality improvement.
