Eco‐Friendly Schiff Base Cellulosic Adsorbent for Selective Removal of Cationic Dyes from Petroleum Wastewater: Synthesis, Characterization, and Application

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 5, 4 March 2026.
The porous HMC selectively captures cationic dyes (MB and MG) from contaminated water, transforming dark, dye‐laden effluent into clean water. ABSTRACT Our investigation explores the exclusion of two health‐risk cationic dyes (e.g., Methylene Blue (MB) and Malachite Green (MG)) using a novel hydrazone‐modified cellulose (HMC) adsorbent synthesized via ...

Are Canadian pension plans disadvantaged by the current structure of portfolio regulation? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We investigate the performance of Canadian pension funds relative to those from the UK and US, in the light of the ongoing quantitative asset restrictions that still apply in Canada, compared with the purer prudent person approach in the UK and US.

Quantile autoregressive distributed lag model with an application to house price returns [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper studies quantile regression in an autoregressive dynamic framework with exogenous stationary covariates. Hence, we develop a quantile autoregressive distributed lag model (QADL).

Quality assessment by region in spot images fused by means dual-tree complex wavelet transform [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This work is motivated in providing and evaluating a fusion algorithm of remotely sensed images, i.e. the fusion of a high spatial resolution panchromatic image with a multi-spectral image (also known as pansharpening) using the dual-tree complex wavelet

Extracellular Vesicles From Mesenchymal Stromal Cells Drive Muscle and Neuronal Regeneration Through TNFα Modulation

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 3, March 2026.
Workflow of the work. (1) Human muscle biopsies were collected, and the human muscle precursor cells (hMPC) were isolated, followed by co‐culture with human monocytes (THP‐1). In parallel, human muscles were decellularised to obtain an extracellular matrix (ECM) free of cells. ECM were recellularised by injecting hMPC and THP1 into the matrix.

General Approach to the Quantum Kicked Particle in a Magnetic Field: Quantum-Antiresonance Transition

open access: yes, 2005
The quantum kicked particle in a magnetic field is studied in a weak-chaos regime under realistic conditions, i.e., for {\em general} values of the conserved coordinate $x_{{\rm c}}$ of the cyclotron orbit center. The system exhibits spectral structures [
