Sarcopenia in Children and Adolescents With Cancer: A Systematic Review of Diagnostic Assessment Methods

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sarcopenia, characterized by loss of muscle mass, strength decline, and impaired function, can affect patients with pediatric cancer. This systematic review aimed to identify diagnostic methods for sarcopenia and the associated clinical outcomes in this patient group.

Effect of additively manufactured core geometry on the transverse compression performance of foam‐filled sandwich composite structures

open access: yesPolymer Composites, EarlyView.
Effect of additively manufactured core on the transverse compression performance of foam‐filled sandwich composite structures. Abstract This paper presents a comprehensive assessment of the quasi‐static compression response of novel 3D‐printed carbon fiber‐reinforced polymer (CFRP) and glass fiber‐reinforced polymer (GFRP) core‐based corrugated foam ...

Impact of Different Types of Dust on Solar Glass Transmittance and PV Module Performance

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the soiling losses between four natural dusts. It identifies significant differences in soiling losses, showing that a particular dust from Thailand has a 12.8% higher transmittance loss slope. In addition, measured slopes of Isc losses are consistently lower than calculated values, with an average discrepancy of 16.6%.

Fecal Metaproteomics as a Tool to Monitor Functional Modifications Induced in the Gut Microbiota by Ketogenic Diet: A Case Study

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Metaproteomics is a valuable approach to characterize the biological functions involved in the gut microbiota (GM) response to dietary interventions. Ketogenic diets (KDs) are very effective in controlling seizure severity and frequency in drug‐resistant epilepsy (DRE) and in the weight loss management in obese/overweight individuals.
