The Microbiome in Quiescent Crohn’s Disease With Persistent Symptoms Show Disruptions in Microbial Sulfur and Tryptophan Pathways

open access: yesGastro Hep Advances
Background and Aims: Even in the absence of inflammation, persistent symptoms in Crohn’s disease (CD) are prevalent and worsen quality of life. Amongst patients without inflammation (quiescent CD), we hypothesized that microbial community structure and ...

Abelian decomposition and Weyl symmetric effective action of SU(3) QCD

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
We show how to calculate the effective potential of SU(3) QCD which tells that the true minimum is given by the monopole condensation. To do this we make the gauge independent Weyl symmetric Abelian decomposition of the SU(3) QCD which decomposes the ...

HERWIG 6: an event generator for Hadron emission reactions with interfering gluons (including supersymmetric processes) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
HERWIG is a general-purpose Monte Carlo event generator, which includes the simulation of hard lepton-lepton, lepton-hadron and hadron-hadron scattering and soft hadron-hadron collisions in one package. It uses the parton-shower approach for initial- and

QCD Phase Diagram with Imaginary Chemical Potential

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2012
We report our recent results on the QCD phase diagram obtained from the lattice QCD simulation. The location of the phase boundary between hadronic and QGP phases in the two-flavor QCD phase diagram is investigated.

Schwinger-Dyson equations in QED and QCD the calculation of fermion-antifermion condensates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We present non-perturbative solutions for the fermion and boson propagators of QED in both three- and four-dimensions, and QCD. In doing so, we solve the coupled system of Schwinger-Dyson equations numerically in Euclidean space, investigating ...

Heavy quark physics on the lattice with improved nonrelativistic actions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Hadrons containing heavy quarks, in particular b quarks, play an important role in high energy physics. Measurements of their electroweak interactions are used to test the Standard Model and search for new physics.

POMERON PHYSICS AND QCD [PDF]

open access: yesNew Trends in Hera Physics 2003, 2004
We review some theoretical ideas concerning diffractive processes. We discuss the Regge Ansatz for the pomeron and the two pomeron model. Then we present the results obtained from nonperturbative QCD for high energy scattering. There we can extract from elastic scattering data the parameters describing the QCD vacuum, in particular the string tension.

Studies of Light Scalar Particles and Dressed Gauge Propagators in QCD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The equations of QCD are widely believed to describe the properties of mesons, baryons and their hadronisation after hard interactions at particle accelerators such as the LHC.

QCD AND STRING THEORY [PDF]

open access: yesLepton and Photon Interactions at High Energies, 2006
This talk begins with some history and basic facts about string theory and its connections with strong interactions. Comparisons of stacks of Dirichlet branes with curved backgrounds produced by them are used to motivate the AdS/CFT correspondence between superconformal gauge theory and string theory on a product of Anti-de Sitter space and a compact ...
