We review the connection between QCD and supersymmetric theories. We focus on the non-perturbative large- N (planar) correspondence between one-flavor QCD and pure supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory ([Formula: see text]). We explain how non-perturbative quantities in QCD, such as the quark condensate, can be evaluated by using the corresponding non ...

Order of the QCD transition and QCD sum rules
Physical Review D, 1992We propose using the finite-temperature {rho}-meson mass as an order parameter to monitor the QCD transition. This is suggested by the {rho}-meson mass formula that emerges from finite-temperature QCD sum rules in the vector channel, and which encompasses the effects of both quark and gluon condensates.

Summary: This talk is based on some work done in colloboration with \textit{U. Mitreuter, J. M. Pawlowski, T. Tok} and \textit{A. Wipf} [Ann. Phys. 269, 26-50 (1998; Zbl 0927.58024)]. We consider QCD on a Euclidean four torus \(T^4\). The usual periodic boundary conditions are only applicable in the perturbative sector.

Nonperturbative QCD and supersymmetric QCD
Uspekhi Fizicheskih Nauk, 2004Nonperturbative phenomena in quantum chromodynamics (QCD) and, in particular, confinement are reviewed. As an example of the treatment, an exact solution of the =2 supersymmetric Yang–Mills gauge theory is presented. Prospects for application of the duality idea in QCD are discussed.

In this chapter, we review the basics and motivations of this thesis. The main subject of this paper is the relation between the non-perturbative phenomena such as quark-confinement and chiral symmetry breaking in QCD. First of all, I review the basics of QCD, including order parameters for confinement and Banks–Casher relation.

This work summarises the salient features of current and planned experiments into multiquark hadrons, describing various inroads to accommodate them within a theoretical framework. At a pedagogical level, authors review the salient aspects of quantum chromodynamics (QCD), the theory of strong interactions, which has been brought to the fore by high ...
