Physical Review D, 1992We propose using the finite-temperature {rho}-meson mass as an order parameter to monitor the QCD transition. This is suggested by the {rho}-meson mass formula that emerges from finite-temperature QCD sum rules in the vector channel, and which encompasses the effects of both quark and gluon condensates.

Summary: This talk is based on some work done in colloboration with \textit{U. Mitreuter, J. M. Pawlowski, T. Tok} and \textit{A. Wipf} [Ann. Phys. 269, 26-50 (1998; Zbl 0927.58024)]. We consider QCD on a Euclidean four torus \(T^4\). The usual periodic boundary conditions are only applicable in the perturbative sector.
