Implications of protecting the QCD axion in the dual description
The QCD axion can be formulated in a dual description as a massive 2-form field. In this picture, the QCD axion quality problem translates into the question if there are additional 3-forms coupled to the axion other than the QCD 3-form that emerges at ...

Tests of hard and soft QCD with e+e- Annihilation Data [PDF]
Experimental tests of QCD predictions for event shape distributions combining contributions from hard and soft processes are discussed. The hard processes are predicted by perturbative QCD calculations.

Isospin QCD as a Laboratory for Dense QCD
QCD with the isospin chemical potential μI is a useful laboratory to delineate the microphysics in dense QCD. To study the quark–hadron continuity, we use a quark–meson model that interpolates hadronic and quark matter physics at microscopic level. The equation of state is dominated by mesons at low density but taken over by quarks at high density.

Effective Potential Formalism at Finite Temperature in Dual QCD and Deconfilnement Phase Transition [PDF]
We study the pure-gauge QCD phase transition at filnite temperatures in the dual QCD theory, an effective theory of QCD based on the magnetic symmetry. We formulate the effective thermodynamical potential for filnite temperatures using the path-integral ...

Banks-Casher-type relation for the BCS gap at high density
We derive a new Banks-Casher-type relation which relates the density of complex Dirac eigenvalues at the origin to the BCS gap of quarks at high density.

Drug Critical Limits for Urgent Physician Notification
Critical limits represent quantitative decision thresholds for drugs that require immediate clinician notification and potential life‐saving intervention. United States hospitals lack a national standard for drug critical limits. We collected critical limits from 417 US hospitals across all 50 states and Washington, D.C.; of these, 411 maintained drug ...

QCD-motivated models for hadrons predict an assortment of "exotic" hadrons that have structures that are more complex then the quark-antiquark mesons and three-quark baryons of the original quark-parton model. These include pentaquark baryons, the six-quark H-dibaryon, and tetra-quark, hybrid, and glueball mesons.
