The instanton liquid and the axion
The ultimate goal of this thesis is to improve our understanding of the cosmology of axions. Axions couple to QCD instantons and these non-perturbative effects are modeled within the framework of the interacting instanton liquid model (IILM).

A phenomenology of QCD on a small lattice
Weak-coupling methods, appropriate to a small lattice, reproduce many features of the QCD spectrum derived on a 6^3 × 10 lattice using Monte Carlo techniques and offer some insight into finite lattice size effects.

What can be the role of AdS/CFT in the phenomenology of heavy ion collisions?
Recently, the AdS/CFT correspondence has been used to calculate several quantities of interest for the phenomenology of heavy ion collisions. Here, I discuss the role which this correspondence can play in the phenomenology of heavy ion collisions ...

QCD at non-zero density and phenomenology [PDF]
In the last few years, numerical simulations of QCD on the lattice have reached a new level of accuracy. A wide range of thermodynamic observables is now available in the continuum limit and for physical quark masses. This allows a quantitative comparison with measurements from heavy ion collisions.

Inclusive distributions near kinematic thresholds.
The main challenge in computing inclusive cross sections and decay spectra in QCD is posed by kinematic thresholds. The threshold region is characterized by stringent phase–space constraints that are reflected in large perturbative corrections due to ...

Hadron form factors: from basic phenomenology to QCD sum rules
This book introduces the phenomenology and theory of hadron form factors in a consistent manner, deriving step-by-step the key equations, defining the form factors from the matrix elements of hadronic transitions and deriving their symmetry relations ...

Global QCD Analysis and Collider Phenomenology--CTEQ
An overview is given of recent progress on a variety of fronts in the global QCD analysis of the parton structure of the nucleon and its implication for collider phenomenology, carried out by various subgroups of the CTEQ collaboration.
