Detection of Staphylococcus epidermidis by a Quartz Crystal Microbalance Nucleic Acid Biosensor Array Using Au Nanoparticle Signal Amplification

open access: yesSensors, 2008
Staphylococcus epidermidis is a critical pathogen of nosocomial blood infections, resulting in significant morbidity and mortality. A piezoelectric quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) nucleic acid biosensor array using Au nanoparticle signal amplification ...

Observational Constraints on Chaplygin Quartessence: Background Results

open access: yes, 2004
We derive the constraints set by several experiments on the quartessence Chaplygin model (QCM). In this scenario, a single fluid component drives the Universe from a nonrelativistic matter-dominated phase to an accelerated expansion phase behaving, first,

Stabilisierung von interstitiellen Platin‐Atomen unterhalb der CeO2(111)‐ Oberfläche: Neue Ansätze für die Architektur von Einzelatom‐Katalysatoren

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

High-fidelity copies from a symmetric 1 to 2 quantum cloning machine

open access: yes, 2010
A symmetric 1 to 2 quantum cloning machine (QCM) is presented that provides high-fidelity copies with $0.90 \le F \le 0.95$ for all pure (single-qubit) input states from a given meridian of the Bloch sphere.

Subsurface Stabilization of Interstitial Pt Atoms on CeO2(111): Rethinking Single‐Atom Catalyst Architectures

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
By combining polarization‐resolved IRRAS on atomically flat CeO2(111) single crystals with quantitative XPS and DFT calculations, we identify an unusual subsurface interstitial configuration of Pt single atoms that gives rise to a previously unobserved, blue‐shifted CO vibrational mode.

Quartz crystal microbalance based histidine sensor

open access: yesArtificial Cells, Nanomedicine, and Biotechnology, 2019
Herein, quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) biosensor is prepared for the detection of l-histidine by attachment of l-histidine imprinted poly(EGDMA-MAH/Cu(II)) nanoparticles on QCM electrode.

Gate-induced carrier density modulation in bulk graphene: Theories and electrostatic simulation using Matlab pdetool

open access: yes, 2013
This article aims at providing a self-contained introduction to theoretical modeling of gate-induced carrier density in graphene sheets. For this, relevant theories are introduced, namely, classical capacitance model (CCM), self-consistent Poisson-Dirac ...

Emerging research directions in nanoparticle‐based foam control for bioprocessing: a bibliometric approach

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract Overfoaming remains a critical challenge in industrial bioprocesses, compromising mass transfer, operational stability, and downstream efficiency in bioreactors and wastewater treatment systems. This study provides a bibliometric and scientometric assessment of nanoparticle‐enabled foam control to map technological trends and identify research

Relativistic Quark Model Based Description of Low Energy NN Scattering

open access: yes, 1994
A description of the NN scattering is constructed starting from the $\pi, \eta, \eta'$ pseudoscalar-, the $\rho, \phi, \omega$ vector-, and the $\varepsilon(600), a_0, f_0(1400)$ scalar - meson-nucleon coupling constants, which we obtain within a ...

Dry Vacuum Processing of Perovskite Films: Insights Into Growth and Precision Control Enabling Batch‐Stable High‐Efficiency Solar Cells

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
This work establishes a standardized, additive‐free dry vacuum sublimation process for perovskite solar cells. By uncovering atomic‐scale growth mechanisms, we demonstrate that sequential deposition provides superior film quality compared to co‐deposition.
