An Optimization Approach for QEMU
2009 First International Conference on Information Science and Engineering, 2009Binary translation system usually maps guest registers into host registers to accelerate the translation speed. QEMU can be treated as a typical binary translator and it uses a fixed register allocation. On most hosts, QEMU simply maps all the target registers to memory and only store a few temporary variables in host registers.

QEMU is a generic and open source machine emulator and virtualizer. Snapshots in Qemu are stored inside the image itself where the guest OS is installed. Patches have been submitted for qemu to store the snapshot file in the home directory. In this paper we have explained the modifications done to the qemu source code by which snapshots can be stored ...

Izvršavanje firmwarea PLC-a korištenjem alata QEMU
2022PLC software vulnerabilities can lead to enormous material losses if they are exploited. It is necessary to prevent this by testing PLC software. A possible approach is using an emulation tool like QEMU to emulate software execution, which could serve as a basis for future integration with testing tools.

PQEMU: A Parallel System Emulator Based on QEMU
2011 IEEE 17th International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems, 2011A full system emulator, such as QEMU, can provide a versatile virtual platform for software development. However, most current system simulators do not have sufficient support for multi-processor emulations to effectively utilize the underlying parallelism presented by today's multi-core processors.

KVM-QEMU Virtualization with ARM64bit Server System
2016In the conventional x86 or x86-64 bit system, virtualization is commonly achieved with KVM or Xen which is widely adapted in many experimental or commercial server system. At now, It is common sense that high and mid volume servers are virtualized with Xen, mid and small volume servers are virtualized with KVM.

Register Allocation for QEMU Dynamic Binary Translation Systems
International Journal of Hybrid Information Technology, 2015Binary translation is an important step to solve the code migration, QEMU is more advanced and efficient binary translation system. It uses lighter TCG technology to achieve dynamic binary translation but analysis of the TCG internal process, we found that the excessive use of temporary variables meaningless in the TCG intermediate code, the backend ...

Adding Support for Nanomips Architecture to QEMU Emulator
2018 26th Telecommunications Forum (TELFOR), 2018While developing new microprocessor architectures, availability of emulations of such architectures even before their physical production is of great significance. Adding support for a recently concieved and designed architecture - nanoMIPS - to emulator QEMU is presented in this paper.

When the libvirt project was first released, the scope was limited to the external control of guest domains. It became clear in a short time that to fully administer a guest domain it would be necessary to communicate with the domain operating system to query dynamic runtime information and issue commands to the OS.

Dual-core virtual platform with QEMU and SystemC
2010 International Symposium on Next Generation Electronics, 2010Dual-core platforms are growing as a new industry trend as platforms with only one core cannot easily perform the diverse functions in current embedded system applications, such as smart phones. We establish an easy-to-use co-simulation dual-core virtual platform to validate the functionality of hardware and software jointly.
