Paging Method Switching for QEMU-KVM Guest Machine

Proceedings of the 2014 International Conference on Big Data Science and Computing, 2014
Shadow and nested paging are two means to enable the memory access for a VM guest. Although the nested paging can eliminate the need of vmexit due to frequent guest page faults, new form of overhead is meanwhile introduced by the two dimensional page table walking.

Implement a Virtual Development Platform Based on QEMU

2017 International Conference on Green Informatics (ICGI), 2017
QEMU is widely used in Cloud environments, it powers both Xen and KVM. Basically it is a fast and portable dynamic translator and an embedded machine emulator that emulates multiple CPUs and many board models. It can also provide a virtual platform for quickly software development such as Android Emulator, which uses it to emulate the whole mobile ...

Port QEMU na HelenOS

2015
QEMU is a machine emulator that is able to emulate environment of various hardware platforms, including PC, PowerPC, ARM and SPARC. The goal of this master thesis is to port QEMU to HelenOS, thus allowing developers run the emulation of HelenOS inside HelenOS.

Collecting program execution statistics with Qemu processor emulator

2009 International Multiconference on Computer Science and Information Technology, 2009
This paper addresses the problem of improving efficiency of software implemented fault injection experiments. It is especially focused on the problem of collecting program execution statistics. The classical SWIFI depends on operating system's debugging API. We introduce a new method which is based on Qemu—a versatile processor emulator.

Fast RISC-V Firmware Validation with QEMU

We present a flexible, system-level/RTL co-simulation approach that utilises existing design artefacts, such as RTL descriptions of peripherals, as well as the device tree of an SoC (e.g. the Rocket Chip Generator), to generate simulation models and configure a QEMU simulation.

Implementacija podrške za emulaciju PLC-a u alatu QEMU

2022
This thesis is concerned with the emulation of software for the SIMATIC S7-1200 PLC. The thesis begins with an analysis of the PLC's hardware and software. By reverse-engineering the PLC's firmware update file, the firmware of the PLC is extracted. What follows is an overview of QEMU, an open-source tool that is used for full system emulation of the ...
