Background. Enterobacter cloacae (E. cloacae) is one of the most common Enterobacteriaceae causing nosocomial infections. Plasmid‐mediated quinolone resistance (PMQR) determinants have been considered recently. This study evaluated the abundance of PMQR genes in strains of E. cloacae obtained from clinical samples in Kermanshah, Iran. Methods.

Influence of the Gain–Bandwidth of the Front-End Amplifier on the Performance of a QEPAS Sensor
The quartz tuning fork used as an acoustic sensor in quartz-enhanced photo-acoustic spectroscopy gas detection systems is usually read out by means of a transimpedance preamplifier based on a low-noise operational amplifier closed in a feedback loop. The

Near-infrared laser based cavity ringdown spectroscopy for applications in petrochemical industry [PDF]
A simple, economic diode laser based cavity ringdown system for trace-gas applications in the petrochemical industry is presented. As acetylene (C2H2) is sometimes present as an interfering contaminant in the gas flow of ethylene (ethene, C2H4) in a ...

Widely-tunable mid-infrared fiber-coupled quartz-enhanced photoacoustic sensor for environmental monitoring [PDF]
A compact widely-tunable fiber-coupled sensor for trace gas detection of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in the mid infrared is reported. The sensor is based on an external-cavity quantum cascade laser (EC-QCL) tunable between 7.6 and 8.3 μm wavelengths coupled ...

Atmospheric CH4 and N2O measurements near Greater Houston area landfills using a QCL-based QEPAS sensor system during DISCOVER-AQ 2013 [PDF]
A quartz-enhanced photoacoustic absorption spectroscopy (QEPAS)-based gas sensor was developed for methane (CH4) and nitrous-oxide (N 2O) detection. The QEPAS-based sensor was installed in a mobile laboratory operated by Aerodyne Research, Inc.

A Mid-infrared QEPAS sensor device for TATP detection
Recent developments of external cavity quantum cascade lasers (EC-QC lasers) enable new applications in laser spectroscopy of trace gas species in the mid-infrared spectral region. We report the application of quartz enhanced photo acoustic spectroscopy (QEPAS) with widely tuneable EC-QC lasers as excitation sources for chemical sensing of different ...

Quartz-Enhanced Photoacoustic Spectroscopy with Right-Angle Prism
A right-angle prism was used to enhance the acoustic signal of a quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy (QEPAS) system. The incident laser beam was parallelly inverted by the right-angle prism and passed through the gap between two tuning fork prongs
