Snow Cover in the Three Stable Snow Cover Areas of China and Spatio-Temporal Patterns of the Future
In the context of global warming, relevant studies have shown that China will experience the largest temperature rise in the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau and northwestern regions in the future.

Transposable Element–Driven PIEZO Mutation Enhances Locust Flight in Plateau Hypoxia
Why transposable elements (TEs) persisted or expanded in genomes remains a mystery. Using integrated analysis of TE macro‐ and microevolution in locusts, our results showed that thousands of TE insertions promoted widespread adaptive variation. Subfamilies of candidate adaptive TEs amplified and reshaped species‐level genomic architecture.

Groundwater Rise Sustains the World's Largest Alpine Water System Under Global Warming
Shallow groundwater depth (SGWD) across the non‐permafrost plains of the Qinghai–Xizang Plateau decreased at averagely 0.02 m year−1, adding 31.44 Gt of freshwater storage from 2000 to 2020 and sustaining ∼53 500 km2 of alpine ecosystems. A vadose‐zone capacity of 426.6 Gt reveals these aquifers as promising reservoirs, highlighting groundwater's ...

Genetic Diversity, Adaptation, Wild Introgression, and Coat Color Mutation of Golden Yak
Genetic diversity, adaptation, wild introgression, and coat color mutation of golden yak from two populations on the Qinghai‐Xizang Plateau. ABSTRACT The golden yak lives on the Qinghai‐Xizang Plateau with a golden coat and adapts to high altitudes and strong ultraviolet environment. The golden coat is a prominent phenotype in many domesticated species,

Regional-scale vegetation-climate interactions on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau
Abstract Response and feedback of vegetation growth to climate change are a series biogeophysical processes from local to regional scales. Revealing the vegetation-climate interaction is fundamental to understand the evolution of earth surface system in the context of global climate change. Due to the low temperature and vulnerable biotic and abiotic

Flower color polymorphism of a wild Iris on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau
Abstract Background Flower color plays a crucial role in attracting pollinators and facilitating environmental adaptation. Investigating the causes of flower color polymorphism and understanding their potential effects on both ecology and genetics can enhance our understanding of flower color polymorphism in wild plant.
