Candidate genes identified from SNPs, indels, and SVs exhibited limited shared genes, suggesting that diverse variant types capture complementary aspects of the adaptive landscape. Our results underscore the importance of incorporating multiple types of genomic variation to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of evolutionary processes.

T2T genome assembly and CRISPR/Cas9 editing of Medicago lupulina
A complete, gap‐free genome of Medicago lupulina, a tough, high‐protein forage legume, and a gene‐editing tool for this species, which was used to alter its leaf shape, provide key resources for improving alfalfa and breeding better forage crops for high‐altitude environments.

ABSTRACT Introduction Blastocystis spp., Enterocytozoon bieneusi and Encephalitozoon spp. are prevalent zoonotic gastrointestinal parasites that cause severe diarrhoea and enteric diseases in humans and animals worldwide. This study investigated the molecular occurrence, genetic diversity and zoonotic potential of E. bieneusi, Blastocystis spp.

Using MaxEnt and ArcGIS, we modeled the distribution of the endangered medicinal fern Cibotium barometz under current and future climate scenarios (SSP1‐2.6 to SSP5‐8.5). Precipitation of the Driest Quarter (49.9% contribution) was the key determinant, and projections indicate that under the high‐emission pathway (SSP5‐8.5), the high‐suitability ...

We characterized the vertical profiles of archaeal community composition, function, co‐occurrence networks, and assembly mechanisms in mangrove sediments across six depth intervals. Deep sediments hosted higher archaeal diversity, with distinct taxonomic and functional shifts, and more stable co‐occurrence networks compared to surface layers ...
