Strain-induced topological phase transition in phosphorene and phosphorene nanoribbons

open access: yes, 2016
Using the tight-binding (TB) approximation with inclusion of the spin-orbit interaction, we predict a topological phase transition in the electronic band structure of phosphorene in the presence of axial strains.

Depositional environment and sequence stratigraphy of the Qom Formation (Miocene) from the Ghalibaf section, Central Iran

open access: yesBoletín de la Sociedad Geológica Mexicana, 2023
The Miocene strata of the Qom Formation from the Ghalibaf section, Central Iran (NW Semnan) documented a high diversity of shallow-marine microfacies. These deposits in the Ghalibaf section, with a total thickness of 445 m, are characterized by twenty-one microfacies.

Antibiotic Resistance, Biofilm Genes, and smeDEF Efflux Pump in Clinical Stenotrophomonas maltophilia Isolates From Iran

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 15, Issue 1, February 2026.
Iranian clinical Stenotrophomonas maltophilia isolates showed high susceptibility to trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole, minocycline, and levofloxacin, but marked resistance to ceftazidime and ticarcillin‐clavulanate, alongside widespread biofilm production and resistance genes.

On Kropina Change of m-th Root Finsler Metrics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we consider Kropina change of $m$-th root Finsler metrics. We find necessary and sufficient condition under which the Kropina change of an $m$-th root Finsler metric be locally dually flat.

Socio‐psychological determinants of beekeeper conflict with bee‐eaters

open access: yesConservation Science and Practice, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2026.
This study investigates factors influencing beekeepers’ use of lethal control against native bee‐eaters in Iran using the theory of planned behavior. Experience, social norms, intentions, and economic dependence significantly predicted using lethal control methods.

Metallic phase of disordered graphene superlattices with long-range correlations

open access: yes, 2010
Using the transfer matrix method, we study the conductance of the chiral particles through a monolayer graphene superlattice with long-range correlated disorder distributed on the potential of the barriers.

Multi‐Objective Low Carbon Energy Management of Integrated Energy Systems Considering Renewable Energy Sources and Water Response Programs

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper proposes a two‐layer, multi‐objective hybrid optimization model for low‐carbon planning in integrated energy systems. By considering uncertainty scenarios, the model simultaneously minimizes costs, greenhouse gas emissions and groundwater extraction.
