Wide QRS-Complex Tachycardia

Annals of Internal Medicine, 1989
Excerpt To the Editor:The article on wide QRS-complex tachycardia by Akhtar and colleagues (1) is a welcome treatise on the electrocardiographic diagnosis of this complex and often enigmatic arrhyt...

Electrocardiographic manifestations: narrow QRS complex tachycardias

The Journal of Emergency Medicine, 2003
Narrow QRS complex tachycardia is a common dysrhythmia in Emergency Medicine practice. Diagnosis and mechanism often can be made by 12-lead electrocardiographic (EKG) analysis but may subsequently require electrophysiologic testing. The clinical manifestations are varied and dependent upon heart rate, prior cardiac disease, and general physiologic ...

Wavelet transform-based QRS complex detector

IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1999
In this paper, we describe a QRS complex detector based on the dyadic wavelet transform (Dy WT) which is robust to time-varying QRS complex morphology and to noise. We design a spline wavelet that is suitable for QRS detection. The scales of this wavelet are chosen based on the spectral characteristics of the electrocardiogram (ECG) signal.

Wide QRS Complex Tachycardias

2015
VT is a tachycardia that rises from the ventricles and may be a life-threatenig condition. ECG have a key role for the differential diagnosis and therapy of wide-complex tachycardias. We reported a case of 72-year-old man admitted to the ER for palpitations, fatigue, and dyspnea.

The QRS Complex

1979
The principal deflection of the electrocardiogram is the QRS complex (Figure 3.1), and alterations in the QRS waves provide information of great clinical value.

Parallel complexity of householder QR factorization

1996
Gaussian Elimination with Partial Pivoting and Householder QR factorization are two very popular methods to solve linear systems. Implementations of these two methods are provided in state-of-the-art numerical libraries and packages, such as LAPACK and MATLAB. Gaussian Elimination with Partial Pivoting was already known to be P-complete.

Supraventricular Arrhythmia With Abnormal QRS Complex

Archives of Internal Medicine, 1972
Thus far, the discussion of supraventricular arrhythmia with abnormal QRS complex has included preexisting conduction defects, the preexcitation syndrome (Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome), and functional bundle-branch block due to sudden shortening of cycle length, often combined with prolongation of preceding cycle; the latter is popularly called the ...

Polymorphic Wide QRS Complex Tachycardia: Differential Diagnosis.

Cardiac electrophysiology clinics, 2019
Polymorphic wide QRS complex tachycardia is defined as a tachyarrhythmia showing variable and frequently alternating morphologies of the QRS complex with irregular R-R intervals. It may present with a specific and reproducible pattern including torsade de pointes and bidirectional ventricular tachycardia or with a nonspecific and very irregular pattern,
